Las Colinas de Campoamor is located close to Villamartin in Costa Blanca, managed by Troon Golf the course was inaugurated in June 2010 and his designer was Cabell B. Robinson who is also responsible for other acclaimed courses such as La Reserva (Soto Grande) and Finca Cortesin on the Costa del Sol, Praia d-El Rey in Portugal and the Royal Golf d’Evian in France.
The course has a unique and exclusive design with wide rolling fairways and undulating greens. It is a par 71, 18 hole championship course that works its way through the valleys and around a central high ground. The course has six lakes which are well positioned to catch errant shot and they come into play more over the closing holes. Stand-out holes include the 13th with its corridor of bunkers that swarm the fairway, making the tee-shot a fearsome one if you are on to a good score, while the par-3 fifth sees its fair share of casualties finding a watery grave.
Las Colinas de Campoamor offers every standard of golfer a unique challenge of golf in beautiful and tranquil surroundings with views across the Mediterranean Sea and Mar Menor lagoon. PGA tour players that recently played the course remarked that it is an excellent and challenging layout that in the a near future could be a venue for professional events.
In addition to its par 71 18-hole championship course is a full range of amenities around the Club House, with a golf academy, a driving range of natural lawn, a putting green and an approach area.
