Los Flamingos Golf Course just 10kms away from Marbella, Spain, is an 18-hole, 5.883 meters, par-71, designed by Antonio Garcia Garrido. In a striking Tuscan gardens style the course is characterized by its carefully conserved landscaping, with a large variety of trees and beautiful views of the Mediterranean. It has already been host several times to the Daily Telegraph European Senior Match-play Championships.

The greens are generously sized whilst its fairways are somewhat narrower on the front nine, where more precision playing is required than on the back nine. The bunkers are white marmolina sand. The fairways are sown with Bermuda, except on certain holes where grass has been used, whilst the greens and tees have been sown with Pencross.

Visitors are almost transported back in time to regal scenes of classical statues, Cyprus trees, marble bridges and Roman columns that adorn the grounds. The “Arroyo Del Taraje” river passes through the course and ends in a lake, which provides a natural border at the end of tees, 1 and 10. Artificial lakes also play a role at the 15th, 16th and 17th.

A technically demanding course – particularly over the front nine, with large, undulating & raised greens adding to what is regarded as a fair challenge for all. The Clubhouse offers facilities as club, buggy and trolley rentals, Caddy Masters, Pro Shop, a 50 tee Driving Range and Golf Academy for the very best of professional tuition.
