Some people take the pleasure of playing golf a little bit further, PureGolf2010 was born on the minds of two golfers from New Zealand, Jamie and Michael, who are golfing every day of the year.  Now many people try to do that but this is a bit more unique.  They’re golfing around the world every day, and raising money for the First Tee of New Zealand a non-profit organization that is dedicated to impacting the lives of young New Zealanders by providing learning facilities and educational programmes that promote character development and life-enhancing values through the game of golf. You can follow their journey around the world and read daily blogs about their experiences or even invite them to a game on your local golf course!

Jamie & Michael wrote about their cause :

” Puregolf2010 is a story about the Kiwi ethos.  It was born out of a desire to challenge ourselves, and a challenge it certainly will be.  But we’re up for it.In 2010 we will play a round of golf at a different course every day of the year, around the world, to raise money for The First Tee New Zealand. Our journey started on 1 January 2010 at Kauri Cliffs and will finish on 31 December 2010 at Cape Kidnappers A calendar year, no less.  In between, we will travel through New Zealand, Australia, the United States, the UK, northern Europe and parts of Asia.  Perhaps other countries too.  Along the way we will play many of the world’s best golf courses, meet a bunch of interesting people and generally experience life outside our comfort zone.  The plan is also to raise a significant amount of money too.  puregolf2010, first and foremost, is an adventure.  It embodies for us the truism that life is too short.  Golf every day for a year…why not? We hope you enjoy following us on our odyssey.  And we would love you to join us – the more people we engage with, the richer and more interesting puregolf2010 will be.

Kia ora
