Tiger Woods has unveiled his latest venture, an iPhone, iPod and iPad2 application called ‘Tiger Woods: My Swing’. A joint venture of the Tiger Woods Foundation and Shotzoom, this application allows for side-by-side comparison of Tiger’s swing with your own. As Tiger Woods is the middle of working on another swing change, the third of his career, it’s not 100% clear which swing is being used in the app. Woods says it is based on his current swing, but that seems a bit odd considering it is still very much a work in progress.

As he stated on his Tiger Woods Foundation website: “Everything about this app is based on how I practice” Woods, said “I’ve rebuilt my swing a number of times over the years and use this technology to gauge my development and help with my swing transitions. I’m excited that through this app I can take this technology on the road with me and that golfers around the world can now do the same to improve their game.”

The Tiger Woods: My Swing technology allows golfers to capture video of their swing so they can analyze it; compare it with Woods and their friends; and see their swing improve over time. Woods serves as a virtual coach, teaching golfers how to use swing-line analysis and providing tips on specific areas of improvement. The content-rich app also includes exclusive personalized videos shot by Woods which address fan questions.

Tiger Woods: My Swing is available for $9.99 at the App Store for iPhone and iPod touch. The app is available in the following 12 languages: English, Chinese, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish.
