Golf played by the rules is incomparable to any other game. Golf is frustrating to play yet rewarding to the soul. It cannot be conquered. It tests a person’s physical skill, concentration, honesty, and patience.
It teaches self-reliance and builds character.
It is a reflection of life. We must live by and accept the choices we make.
Much can be learned about people’s character by watching them play golf. The world is fortunate to have this sport that the herdsman of so long ago invented on the links land of Scotland. (source)
