Matteo Manassero will make history this week by becoming at 16 years of age the youngest golfer to play in the US Masters. He was born in Verona Italy and is ranked the number 1 amateur in the world. The young Italian will spend the week in the Crows nest on the Augusta course as is tradition with the other 3 amateurs who have qualified for the first major of 2010. He is pictured here after playing with Tom Watson in the final round of last years Open Championship where he finished in tied 13th position and proved he can perform under the pressure of a major tournament.Watch out for him this week I fancy him to make the cut and continue his rise to fame in the golf world.After this week he has said he will turn professional and who knows he might set another record if he can break into the Ryder Cup team.
