Classic Golf Resort golf course in New Delhi, India; is the first South Asian Signature Championship Golf Course designed by Jack Nicklaus. Set amidst the foot hills of the Aravali, the golf course comprises of 27 holes of 3 nines each, (The Ridge, The Valley and The Canyon).
The course rewards strategic, intelligent thinking as much as fine ball striking and the holes are designed to enable golfers to make precise decisions in club selection and execution of each shot. Challenges exist in the form of bunkers and water hazards, which give all levels of golfers an opportunity to hone their mental and physical agility.
Preserve the land’s natural character and integrate its natural features was one of the main concerns of the designer. The majority of the holes follow the existing contours of the site in order to make the course as enjoyable and user friendly as possible. India’s most prestigious golf tournament, The Wills Indian Open was held at Classic Golf Resort for the first time in 2000.
