European Golf Design was established in 1992, based in the heathlands of England, the company is the golf course design partnership of IMG and the European Tour. European Golf Design carefully selects each member of their team for their ability and skill to create the finest golf courses. Their expertise in landscape design, land planning, agronomy, course management, construction management and computerized multimedia services allows them to create golf courses of an unrivalled level of quality to their clients around the world.

European Golf Design has now made a name for itself by consistently producing high quality and successful resort, members and tournament golf courses, on schedule and within budget. Our courses are consistently highly rated by golfers and the golf press alike. Already three of our courses have been voted best new course in Europe and two are named in the top 100 courses in the World.

The Company was established as an avenue through which the Tour could develop venues throughout Europe that would host Tour events; would allow professional golfers to have an in-house design team at their disposal to assist in the design of new golf developments they are involved with, as well as providing a design company of the highest caliber that was available to other clients for the design of their projects. European Golf Design courses regularly host tournaments on the European Tour, Seniors Tour, Challenge Tour and the Ladies European Tour.
