IMG is the world’s largest sports marketing agency. The late Mark H. McCormack founded IMG in the early 1960s; one of his first clients was Arnold Palmer. Such was his and the IMG’s influence that, in 1999, McCormack was described as “The Most Powerful Man in Sports” by Sports Illustrated magazine. A self-confessed golf fanatic, this annual book was his brainchild. Rolex has been a highly visible sponsor of golf for five decades.
