Mercedes-Benz have partnered with golf cart manufacturer Garia to produce a prototype of what they are describing as a “real sports car.”
The new golf cart will be making its debut at Royal Troon. We love the spec. There’s a fridge under the bench seat, for a start. An integrated touchpad gives you access to a course layout display, and an electronic scorecard. There’s also a Bluetooth connection and speaker system, so you can listen to music streamed from your smartphone.
The golf cart of the future has a top speed of 30 Km per hour, and can travel up to 80 Km on a single six hour charge. It will also be street legal.
As this is still a prototype you will have to wait to get your hands on one. Production is expected to begin next year.
