(Shared from GolfPunk) – From 24th – 28th July, 150 junior golfers will once again descend on Amendoeira Golf Resort in the Algarve for the Oceânico World Kids Golf Championship, but there are still some places available.
The event prides itself on providing young golfers with a week to remember and an insight into the life of a tour pro. Entries to this year’s event will close on June 25th so there’s still a bit of time to enter.
Home to two 18 hole Championship layouts, the O’Connor Jnr Course, and the Faldo Course, recently named ‘Portugal’s Best’ by the World Golf Awards, the week at Amendoeira offers golfers aged between 7 and 18 years old the chance compete over three rounds at one of Europe’s finest golfing resorts. With state of the art practice facilities, dedicated player lounges, and access to the courses for practice rounds prior to the start of competition, the players are really made to feel like pros.
Aside from the competition, the Oceânico World Kids Championship places great emphasis on making sure the whole week is one that can be enjoyed by all. Families are welcomed and invited to attend to offer support for their youngsters, but at the same time enjoy themselves whilst the competition is underway.
With under six weeks to go now until the first tee–shot is hit, there is just one week left to register for the Oceânico World Kids Golf Championship, and with it, A taste of the big time. Entry fees range from €125 to €270, and includes four rounds of golf, tee prizes, tickets to opening and closing ceremonies as well as Buffet Lunch on the three tournament days. For those not playing, there are Special Tournament Rates available across many of our luxury accommodation offerings.
