Valle del Sol is located in the Santa Ana area of San Jose. Located conveniently close to large office parks like Forum and hotels like the Marriott Costa Rica, Intercontinental, Residence Inn Costa Rica and Indigo, this course was first completely public course in the San Jose area.
Designed by international golf course architect Tracy May, the course has fifteen lakes and several streams are distributed around the course, with water affecting play on 16 of the course’s 18 holes. Greens feature Bermuda grass with balls rolling fast and true. Fairway bunkers and greenside sand traps complement the exciting challenge and natural beauty of this superb course.
This 18-hole championship, par-72 course stretches for 6,750 gently sloping yards. Many local and international tournaments are held here. Well-groomed fairways are punctuated with tropical trees, colorful gardens and small lakes, which add to the challenging conditions as well as to the course’s natural beauty.
