Festive Knitwear at TrendyGolf

Well the festive season is finally upon us and for most shops, that has been the case since September! You may have noticed that over the last couple of years, patterned knitwear seems to be pulled out of the wardrobe around this time. The infamous “Christmas Jumper” is no longer a Dad’s special. In fact, quite the opposite. Knitwear consisting of fairisle patterns, diamonds, stripes and autumnal tones is big this season.

We take a look at some of the patterned knits we have for you on the site. Make sure you get yours in time for the festive season and be one up on that reindeer jumper that pops up on Christmas Day!

First up we have a couple of knits from Lyle & Scott; the Crew Neck Argyle and the Placed Stripe Crew. Both of which are a great addition to your winter ensemble. Made from 100% Pima Cotton, these knits work well for both on and off course wear. The pattern design is ideal for the modern man and although this might be daunting at first, matching these jumpers to the rest of your outfit is relatively simple. Just pull colours from the jumper to compliment the rest of your look.

Providing a modern yet vintage feel, wear these jumpers with chinos and a white polo or dress shirt. There is also a sleeveless alternative which is another up and coming trend this season. Don’t be scared to get creative with your look, after all, fashion is about identifying yourself and your style.

Aquascutum is always at the forefront of fashion, both in golf and on the high street. The Cable Knit and Double Breasted Cardigans are both stylish and totally on trend this season. One of the advantages of a cable knit cardigan is not only the appearance but also the added warmth this provides the wearer with. The Double Breasted cardigan is a little different but again, completely on trend. We suggest wearing either of these cardigans with a formal dress shirt, a tie and some tailored trousers for a great off course look.

Original Penguin have also been producing some fashionable garments this season with their lightweight version of a preppy cable knit jumper as well as the ever-popular shawl neck cardigan. Cable knit offers a collegiate style and when paired with cords and plimsolls, the look is complete. The shawl neck cardigan is another key piece this Autumn and as you can see, is stylishly understated. Both of these knits are comfortable and versatile, something you definitely require when buying.
