Le Touessrok Golf Course is an 18-hole, par-72 course on its own island in Mauritius. Designed by Bernhard Langer, it is a championship course of extraordinary concept and immaculate execution. Surrounded by white sand and the azure Indian Ocean all of the 18 holes of the course feature’s breathtaking views, with the holes snaking up and down the length of the island with the holes snaking up and down the length of the resort. There are nine lakes in total with many holes requiring tee shots across sea inlets into fairways.
The course measures 7000 yards with a wide range of long and short, gentle and demanding holes that require accuracy and prior thought. This is achieved with four sets of tee decks for each hole, so the angles of attack and approach vary. The fairways are generous where appropriate with greens that are mainly small and undulating, requiring precise approach shots.
Golfers who had been to Le Touessrok at least once agree that the island is just wonderful for golf, a favorite course amongst Golf Professionals for it’s blend of playability and scenery and often ranks among the best courses in the world. The Le Touessrok clubhouse is a stunning building offering panoramic views of the golf course, the mountains and out over the rest of Mauritius.
