Ecco was established in 1963 by Karl Toosbuy in the small town of Bredebro in southern Denmark. The idea was to produce shoes that combined innovative technology, scandinavian design and traditional craftsmanship with an understanding of the human foot and how it works.

A lot of time and effort is invested into researching the foot and producing a shoe that is as comfortable as possible, without compromising style.
