Sueno Golf Club is around 25 minutes drive from Antalya International Airport and 30 kilometers from the ancient City of Antalya, Turkey. This luxury golf resort is located in Belek on the Mediterranean Coast. The Golf club includes two 18-hole championship golf courses that are among the finest in this area, Sueno Dunes Course and Sueno Pines Golf Course. The club has pine groves with never-ending beaches it is a golfer paradise.
Built and designed by the PGA Design Company in 2007 two of Belek’s best courses were carved out of the pines that surround both courses.
The Pines – Designed by the well-known golf course architects PGA Design Consulting this is a typical links course, with natural bunkers adding to the difficulty, the Pines course is the longest and the most difficult of the two and a test of all the player abilities. Measuring 6413 (7054yards) its distinguished by its rolling fairways and testing greens will have even the seasoned of players think before they pull the trigger, a breathtaking course with a rugged beauty, accuracy off the tee will be the key to a good score on the Pines course with heavily tree lined fairways being the main feature of the course; add to that a few lakes and some well positioned bunkers and you have the makings of a what is sure to become one of the best courses in Belek.
The signature hole number 7 a 195 meter (214yards) par 3 over water where the pin a suggestivly placed behind a bunker on most days will have you hitting your best of the day to insure you make your valued par. The 18th hole features an island green positioned right in front of the hotel where you will be left with a spectacular approach shot to the final hole!
The Dunes – Sueno Dunes Golf Course is the easier of the two Sueno Golf Courses and has a more traditional layout and the natural features have been very well utilized by the designer Bob Hunt. It offers a fair amount of challenge to golfers with all handicaps. This 18 hole, par 69 layout, offers a spectacular panorama of the Mediterranean shore and is an interesting course to play, but be ready to be punished if you hit wayward shots.
It is one of those courses which will especially be enjoyed by golfers who love playing on links courses and are more adventurous. Sueno Dunes Golf Course closing hole is the most memorable as the putting at the 18th hole is amazing. Belek is a region of natural beauty encircled by the Taurus Mountains and You can see the azure blue seas sparkling in the sunshine.
The clever use of the natural sand dunes has created a very interesting layout with some spectacular views. Although the course is still set amongst a backdrop of pine trees, it’s much more open than the Pines course with the sand ridges that run through the course provide a links feel to the layout.
