Kjus aims to develop the most technical golfwear. No compromises. Kjus originated from an idea by Olympic ski champion Lasse Kjus and the Swiss entrepreneur Didi Serena. Kjus stand for sportswear made of innovative, high-performance material with a distinctive, clean design. With hands-on experience in skiwear and incredible experience, Kjus wanted to expand his vision through golf. With a passion for sport, Kjus made it his goal to transfer their technically perfected winter pieces to the green.
The Spring/Summer 15 collection uses innovative functional fabrics that are light, soft, low-noise and high-stretch. Fabrics that provide exceptional comfort to passionate golfers in search of individuality in the widest range of conditions all over the world – whether it’s in the biting wind and pouring rain of Scotland’s golf courses, in light showers and humid heat on Florida’s greens, or in the fresh cool climate of Europe’s highest golf course in the Engadin.
No mater where you travel to, you need to feel comfortable and confident on the course. In order to do this, Kjus has studied the climate control of the human body. Human climate control is based on a highly complex system. Invisible to the eye, the human body is encompassed by a thin protective layer of air, a highly individual micro-climate where even the tiniest change causes discomfort. In order not to disturb it and to improve instead, Kjus has developed a textile clothing system, an intelligent layering system that substantially determines the feeling of comfort generated by the golf clothing. Below, we described each layer in detail, to prepare you for the most extreme days on the course. Read on and shop today.
Functional Shirt
The base of the textile clothing system begins with a longsleeve functional shirt. These shirts have soft compression with a cooling effect and excellent moisture management properties. This layer is the base of all three and are adjusted to the two top layers to be able to wick moisture away from the body and transport it to the outside through the top layers. This retains sufficient warmth in the body and releases excessive heat.
Technical Polo
Next comes the technical polo for exceptional ventilation and cooling. Kjus has transferred their technically perfected fabrics into their polos introducing, Primaflex yarn from Toray. This is a Japanese premium stretch fabric that is extremely light, hand-wearing and does not lose its shape, even when stretched to its limits. It’s soft and smooth to the touch, easy to care for and does not crease.
Outershell
The final layer is the outershell that protects against rain and wind. The outermost layer of clothing provides weather protection with the highest degree of breathability and ventilation at the same time. Kjus understands that fabrics and fit of each individual layer affect freedom of movement. The stretch radio in the outer shell is lower but still considered based on the bottom two layers because it has to be durable and offer protection.
Final Word:
Kjus not only focuses on the material and research put into their pieces, but the fashionable design. With a vibrant range of colors and a sporty, timeless and sophisticated cut, Kjus has blended function and fashion perfectly. Take your game to the next level this season with Kjus.
